When worlds collide: A CBD collaboration story

Not sure if you've heard, but tomorrow night is a big night for CBD. Stigma Hemp and Modist Brewing will debut their new collaboration tincture, Dream Oil CBD, at an event at the Modist taproom.

Why is this a big deal? Glad you asked.

  1. It's more than Stigma and Modist -- and everyone is from Minnesota. Beyond the two companies at the helm of Dream Oil are several others in the MN hemp industry including Budding Acres, Hemp Acres, and BZ Sciences. From concept to production to testing, this all-Minnesota line-up shows the strength of the hemp businesses here at home.

  2. It's a new way to collaborate. Dream Oil features a hope infusion from Modist's Dreamyard IPA (don't worry, it's a nonalcoholic product).

  3. It's support that isn't always the norm. In many other states, craft brewing and cannabis have been at odds, usually due to the fear that legalizing recreational cannabis will take away beer customers. Stigma and Modist's partnership underscores the view that there's room for everyone at the table.

  4. It's going to be an event that showcases more than CBD. Stigma and Modist are thinking bigger than Dream Oil and the event tomorrow night will touch on entrepreneurship in Minneapolis and beyond, Minnesota's craft beer industry, Minnesota's hemp industry, and legalization advocacy.

  5. It's a glimpse of what's to come. At Blunt Strategies, we get asked a lot about what's happening now and what's going to happen in the future. While we don't have a crystal ball, products and partnerships like this one that highlight the best of Minnesota's innovation and our pride in grew-it-ourselves ingenuity are something to get excited about.
